A group experience to help you understand your relational story before you date

Are you curious to understand how your childhood home and experiences have shaped who you are and how you will relate to your future spouse?

Would you want to enter future dating and marriage relationships with greater self-awareness, confidence, and relational maturity?

Before is a therapy group for single men and women ages 18–35. The group helps participants explore their personal stories—family of origin, relational patterns, significant life events, losses, and past relationships—and consider how those experiences may influence their future dating and marriage relationships.

Using a Narrative Therapy approach, Before offers a supportive group setting in which participants can examine the stories they have inherited, their self-image, and the relational tendencies they will carry into their future. Through a narrative lens, the group addresses attachment theory, communication, boundaries, basic relational skills, dating, and single sexuality. Blending professional and Christian perspectives, Before is designed to promote greater self-understanding, personal growth, and the ability to build healthy, meaningful relationships.

10-session closed group
Tuesdays, 6:30–8:00 PM
New groups form in May, September, and January
Enrollment: $200—includes one individual session, testing, and curriculum
Group: $50 per session—10% discount when all 10 sessions are paid in advance
